Glen Puryear – Principal
Welcome to Rogers Creek
I am excited to be the principal at Rogers Creek Elementary School. I have spent the last 24 years in education, and I hope I can continue to bring some of the positive things I have learned to our school and this community. My many experiences include being a guidance counselor, special education inclusion teacher, assistant principal, and coach. I received my Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Tennessee Technological University and my Educational Specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University. One thing you can always expect from me is to treat your child as if he/she is my own. Once your child enters the doors at Rogers Creek Elementary School under my leadership, we will do everything in our power to keep them safe and to let them know they are loved. On top of that, we will strive to give them the best educational experience possible to help them reach their lifelong goals and to be productive citizens. If I can help in any way, please feel free to contact me. I believe if the faculty, staff, students, and community of Rogers Creek all work together then we can not only make this the best school in the county, but also one of the best in the state as well.
We are very proud of the fact that Rogers Creek has been named a Tennessee Reward school three times in the last five years. Besides being the only school in McMinn County to win this award three times, we are also the first school to accomplish this feat in back to back years (2017-18, 2018-19). Our teachers, staff, and students have worked extremely hard to achieve this accomplishment, and I am very proud of all of them! It is our goal this school year to continue this upward trend for Rogers Creek Elementary and hopefully we can accomplish a three peat! To do this it will take the efforts of all. We appreciate all the support you give your children at home and the support you give to the school. Go Warriors!!!!
